Words have been hard to come by these past few months. They always seem to show up incomplete. So that’s what I’ll share. Fragments.

When you’ve cried all that you can cry. And you struggle to keep your eyes open as they burn and swell up. Close them. The next phase does not require sight. It requires your heart to face what you refuse to face without a tear-stained shirt. Blinded by vulnerability, you enter the depths you were previously too frightened to enter. There is no shame. No guilt. No fear that can keep you from entering this space. But you must close your eyes. Don’t become so caught up in the fight that you forget to surrender to the One who has the power to conquer. Close them tight. Raise your hands and give it to the One who spoke you into existence.
